Substance Abuse Counselor

The exam comprises competencies to test the clinician’s knowledge of the world of addiction and its far-reaching effects to assist patients in finding the right path to recovery and staying on that path for as long as possible.

Substance Abuse in the Workplace

This course will provide the clinician the opportunity to build knowledge and understanding of frequently abused drugs and their effects, factors contributing to alcohol or drug misuse, and the problems which cause issues at work and to develop skills in recognizing substance abuse and reporting a confirmed abuse at the workplace.

Substance Abuse Navigator

The exam comprises competencies to test the clinician’s knowledge of assisting patients who suffer from Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) and other substance-related issues by providing compassionate, respectful, and non-judgmental care to the patients that suffer from substance use disorders.

Suicide Prevention

The exam comprises a brief background discussion and assessment to test the clinician's knowledge of determining the level of suicide risk at a given time and providing the appropriate medical care and management.

Surgical First Assistant

The exam comprises competencies to test the clinician’s knowledge of anticipating the needs of the surgical team and, during an operation, assisting the surgeon with tasks such as selecting equipment, holding open incisions, stopping bleeding, and closing the incision, among many other technical tasks.
