Restricted Access

HSHCEU's website has many sections open to all users, with no registration required. For these sections, our web server automatically recognizes no information regarding the web domains of the website visitors. It is not technically possible to extract an email address simply by visiting a web page. It is possible to extract what website the visitor came from. HSHCEU does not track this information. The website writes a "cookie" to the hard drive of every visitor, whether they are members or not. The home page writes a temporary cookie that records that visit as having been counted. Its sole purpose is to prevent the web server from counting the same visitor more than once. Some of HSHCEU's web pages will also send a "cookie." Any restricted segments of the website require a unique member login and password. When a visitor successfully enters membership login information, the system generates a cookie which is used to recognize the visitor for the remainder of the session. If a user checks the "Remember Me" box when logging in, the system will maintain the cookie on the user's hard disk for 30 days. If cookies are blocked or restricted in any way, the user will not be able to log into the website.
